Congratulations to Jill Casey!
We are thrilled to announce that Jill Casey has successfully raised $10,000 to support Radiating Hope’s mission of expanding radiation oncology in underserved countries. Jill and her daughter, an oncology nurse in Alaska, will be joining our 2024 team to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro next week.
Jill’s climb is especially meaningful as she will be doing it in tribute to friends and family who have been affected by cancer. She will carry dedicated prayer flags to the summit in their honor. Our 2024 Kili Team will also be supporting Radiating Hope's work at multiple cancer centers in Tanzania.
Fundraising Highlights: Jill hosted an African-themed dinner party last week for 16 donors as part of her fundraising efforts. She shared, "The menu consisted of East African foods, many specifically from the Tanzanian area, including cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. I was able to prepare the dishes myself and had three volunteers to help serve! The majority of the food and wine was donated by local grocery and food distributors."
